Whether you’re a parent, student, or artist, I would love to work with you. I’m a classically trained composer who has been writing and recording my own music for over ten years. I actively write today, producing and publishing all my own work (visit my home page to listen to some tunes). I’ve received my undergraduate at the University of Shenandoah and my masters in Music Composition from the University of Michigan, where I also composed an orchestra piece that was performed by the University Philharmonia Orchestra.

I have several years experience as a private tutor in music composition, both in-person and remote (over Zoom), and as a piano instructor for kids aged 8 to 18 and up (all in person). My preferred piano curriculum for beginner and intermediate students is James Bastien Piano Basics, though I’m happy to flex if you have something particular in mind for you or for your child. If you’re in the Detroit area, and have a piano or keyboard, I will come to you! I am also happy to introduce you to current and/or previous parents whose kids I have taught, so that you can hear about their experience and ask any questions.

My rates are $45 for 30 mins and $60 for a full hour.
